July 24, 2010 - Fiesta Days last day of celebrations

A fun day was ahead of us for sure. Parade, carnival, visit with GG, more family, yard care and things to do in Santaquin, more carnival to finish using tickets for rides and home. Here are some photos to show you our fabulous 24th!

Jesse and Cheyanne on a kiddie ride at the carnival. Now Jesse thought it'd be funny to rub his hand on the tire while the ride was going. He is lucky it goes slow, or it probably would have ripped his arm off. Yes, he is my "Dennis The Mennis!" If it moves or can be pushed, he'll touch it, he can't resist.

Camryn and Jesse on yet another kiddie ride. At least this one he couldn't get dirty on.

This ride he went on after the car ride with the tire rubbing and black hands as a result. After he had the tire rub his hand, which made it BLACK, he started patting his mouth making noises. So then he had a black ring around his mouth and nose. So this ride bring on water, Janine, my aunt, told him to stick his hand in the water and rub his face to get some of the black off. Ya, that didn't work. He used the same black hand to rub his face with water, which made the black go all over his face instead of just the mouth and nose. So this picture shows him in the process of wiping his own face off.

Okay, I got him off the water ride and helped him wipe his face off. Still dirty but no where near as bad as when he tried to do it. I got his whole face and head wet. It was super hot, so he didn't mind at all. He is definitely ALL boy!

And lastly, after we did the big parade, family lunch, carnival rides, to which was a little to hot and the seats to the rides burned the poor kids' legs, we took a break and headed to Santaquin to get the yard work done on the house. Jesse ran through the sprinklers while I mowed the lawn and took care of some things. Jesse watered the tomato plants, to which he found our first cherry tomato for the season. I can't believe how the 6 plants are doing for me only watering them once a week. Of course, Jesse begged to eat the first one and I let him. He was so excited. He does call it his garden. Jesse was so puckered out that when we got done with the yard work, he asked if he could sleep on our way to GG's house, a whopping 20 minute drive, but he was tired! We stayed and played with her for a couple hours then headed back to Spanish Fork to finish using the carnival tickets so we could go home. We were going to go to the rodeo with my friend Jessica, but Jesse decided he'd rather go home. Which I am glad, Jessica said a poor little calf got killed. Jesse wouldn't have liked to see that. He cries when I kill grass hoppers or spiders.
We had a fun busy weekend, but we both were so glad to be back to our Wyoming home.

First day of Fiesta Days!

My mom decided she wanted to come pick Jesse up from me in Evanston and take him back to Spanish Fork so that her and my dad could take the grandkids to the first day of the Fiesta Days Carnival for $1 a ride night, family night. He was so excited that she was going to drive the two hours to come get him. Now he gets to stay with her until Friday night when I head down for the celebrations. I don't want to miss the parade on Saturday. Here are some of the picture my mom sent me tonight of him having a great time at the carnival. You can tell he is having a blast with Camryn and Cheyanne.

The workin man!

Last week Randle was running late coming home from work. I had to be to work by 8pm. Since Randle was running about an hour and a half late, I had no choice but to take Jesse to work with me. He does love coming to work with me. I had to post this picture that I took of him. Because I work in a Laboratory and we play with blood, urine and feces, you always want to wear gloves and your lab coat. I will say that I do wipe down the counter tops multiple times during my shift, but you never know what is roaming around. It is a clean lab, no matter what you think. Not much was going on at work when we arrived. My friend Denise was working and I was her replacement. Nothing really came in for me to do the first little while, so I turned on my laptop so Jesse could play PBSkids.org. My friend Emily, and ER nurse brought me over a strep screen to do. These were Jesse's words:
Jesse: "Emily did you bring me work to do?"
Emily: "Yes I did. Are you helping mom tonight?"
Jesse: "Yes, and I have been waiting for work so I can help her."
Emily: "Well here you go."

I then told Jesse that if he truly wanted to help me, then he needed to wear a lab coat and gloves. Of course I don't have a lab coat xxx-small, so he wore my XL coat. I bunched the back of it up and tied it with a rubber band then found X-small gloves for him to wear. He looked so cute and he was so helpful to do things. He helped me rotate my blood samples for the day, watched me run the strep test. He looked at some CBC differential slides, asking questions of what the red ones were (red blood cells) and what the purple ones were (white blood cells). He then said, "Take my picture, I look like a doctor, like Grandma Jan. Send her a picture of me." So we did, along with a few other people. When Randle arrived at 9:30 pm to get him, Jesse answered the door to let him in and Randle said, "boy you really are helping mom aren't you?" Jesse: "Well ya, that's why she brought me, to help her!"
I just had to laugh. He wanted to stay all night with me but I told him he couldn't and had to go keep daddy company at the townhouse.

July 3, 2010 Hamblin Park

This July 3rd was the day Evanston, Wyoming celebrated Independence Day. They had all the festivities at Hamblin Park. There were Bounce houses for the kids, a four wheeler pulling a kiddie train, live music, food, treats, dunk the Red Devil High School teams, saw dust hunt, family scavenger hunt, and Bingo. I took Jesse and my friends daughter, Danica. Jesse and Dani played and had so much fun. It was a nice warm day for them to play. Now I did make sure Jesse was lathered up nicely with sun screen, but I forgot one person, ME! Because it was a nice SUNNY day, my back, shoulders, chest and arms now look like a cherry. Aloe has been my best friend. Mindy lathered Dani up well too, so the two kids were fine. Just tired and exhausted from playing in the sun all day.

Then about 6 pm, we headed to Kay & Bill's house in Kemmerer for a BBQ and fireworks. The food was great and the fireworks were awesome. Jesse was waiting for Josh to light another one, when Jesse's patients was running out. He told Josh, "Hurry up, I'm bored!" The way he said it was funny, but we had to tell him that because we dont have special cannon's to shoot them out of it takes a bit longer between each firework. Needless to say, after each one lit, he jumped up to help Randle, Josh, Kaisha and their friend Dalton choose which one to light next. They all had fun.

Moved!

To update our little family yet again, Randle was offered a job in Wyoming. When the news came, we were excited, yet nervous. We knew that if he didnt take the job we would still be going from pay check to pay check plus wondering if his pay check would be big enough to pay anything at all with it being commission based. Jesse was thrilled with the idea of daddy taking a job in Wyoming. His biggest thought was that if we moved he would see mommmy everyday again.
We waied the pros and cons, and guess what? We have moved to Evanston, Wyoming over the last couple of weeks. Jesse has stayed with me the last two weeks, minus the time with my parents while Randle has been taking his certification classes for the new job.
We are enjoying it, and with the 4th of July this weekend, we will be staying right here in Wyoming for it. Wyoming festivities here we come.
