Happy Halloween

This year for October Randle has completed a big project in our home. He has finished our rock wall and the installation of the wood burning stove, with the help of our Schwans's man, Rick, and Terry Branin. It looks great! I will post a pic later. Randle has already biult a fire in it most every night since it was finished. The first night was so funny because he closed the damper to far and the fire alarms went off in the house because of the smoke. You live you learn and that hasnt happened again. It sure does heat the whole house very nicely. Our next prject is going to be the laundry room and water heater.
For Halloween Jesse is being Wolverine, from X-men the cartoon. He picked it out himself. He got to wear it the the Witch-a-palooza at Gardener's Village a couple of weeks ago. He loved all the witches there, he even flirted with one of the witches that was in the show we watched with dinner. He wanted to follow her everywhere.
I am excited to take him trick or treating this year, since I have my witch costume as well. I love being able have these experiences with him.
My job is going well, I just hate being gone from Randle and Jesse 3 1/2 days a week. So I really enjoy my time at home. Randle's job is still going ok, and hopefully will continue to do so. We just keep our fingers crossed, but so very thankful that I have my job to help us out when times are slow for him.
I have started my Christmas shopping, which I think came way to early this year. But I am excited to see Jesse's face and be with all my family during the holidays.
To the start of the holiday season everyone, enjoy these times with you loved ones. Cherish all the moments. I am glad to have you as friends and family.

Our Busy Lives....

Seems as the busier we get the less we do. Make sense, not really. Now that I am working a fulltime position in Evanston, being gone from Sunday night to Thursday morning leaves me little time to get things done at home. I prefer spending the time with Jesse and Randle than doing anything else. I am home for 3 1/2 days and gone for 3 1/2 days. The job is great and with being done with school the extra income with help us not be as strapped and finally get caught up. The time away from home sucks, but we are dealing with it. I talk to my guys every morning when I am getting off work and they are waking up, then sometime during the day after I have woke up then again at night when it is bed time. Jesse picks books out for me to take to work so that I can still read to him over the phone. He also has me tell him different stories to go with them or change them up using people he knows in the books instead of the book characters. He loves have his Uncle Jason in most of his stories, especially the skunk stories. And Jason is usually the one to get spraid by the skunk.
Our washer died on us last Friday night, so needless to say it was a better deal for us to buy a washer and dryer than just a washer. We got the LG brand front loading washer and dryer. They had a deal that if we bought the set then they were only $497 a peice in stead of $799 a peice, saving us about $650 by getting the set. Good thing I am working full time now, we wouldn't have been able to get them otherwise. They are really nice and Randle has actually been using them more than I have.
Jesse and I are taking Virginia shopping today then just spending the day doing things and she and I need to get done. Errands, ice cream, you know the fun stuff. Jesse just loves going to her house, plus when he calls her he keeps her on the phone for half hour or more talking her ear off. But all the kids love their GG, and she them.
Randle is also doing a great job at the rock wall he is putting up for our fireplace. After all the grouting is done between the rocks then Randle will start on the roof project to get the chimeny up and everything that goes with it.
So that is a little update from us. Hope everyone is well.

I will post more updates of the fireplace project as they come.

Bees

I have taken a new job in Evanston at the hospital. It is thier Fulltime night shift running the lab. So far I have worked 3 weeks and am enjoying it. Jesse stays home with Randle, which has been really good for them to bond without me. My days off are now set. I work Sunday night to Wednesday night and when I get off at 6am I get to drive home Thursday morning. So I have all day Thursday off to Sunday at 3:30pm when I leave here to go back up to work.
This week while I was at work, Jesse, was at my neighbors, Cindy's. He loves it at her house. She watches Jesse every other week and my mom every other as well. He went to play in the jeep that they have, he always plays in it, and he ended up making some wasps very mad when he got in it. Cindy had no idea bees had made a home in the jeep under the dash. He was stung twice on the face, three times on his right hand and twice on his leg. I felt so bad for my little guy. Because I am allergic to bees, we were so afraid that he would be, but luckily he did not have any type of reaction, just a little swelling in the area of the sting. Now when we are outside and he sees a bee, he yells "ahhh a stinging bee" and runs to the house. I dont blaim him, I run too. He is pretty scared of them now.
We also went to Eureka today and had a really good lunch with Grandma GG. We took her some corn fresh from our garden as well as some fresh zucchini we grew.Plus we took her a fresh cantalope and tomatoes. Jesse has enjoyed growing the garden, he calls it his garden. We have been eating zucchini for over a month now and the corn is just starting to be ready. We took our first 6 ears off and shared it with Virginia today. It was also Eureka's celebration days too, so we took Jesse to see the train on Main Street and see the stands they had. We have had a good weekend with me being off and are planning on eating fresh tomatoes with dinner.
Now for the countdown...Only 6 days until Toby Keith's concert!!

It's been awhile...

Randle, Jesse and I have had one busy and fast going Summer. Just like everyone else, things come and go. This has been our summer so far:
We got our pool put up the first part on June, for it to sit for a few weeks while we ordered a new pump. Once the new pump came, it has been fun swimming in. I have taken Jesse to the water park in Spanish Fork and also to the Dino Museum with his Grandma Jan. He loved it there.
Randle's job has kept us on edge wondering what will happen. In July I was offered a Full Time position at Evanston Regional Hospital. That was a tough desicion for me to make. It is the night shift which goes from Sunday night to Wednesday night. I would get to come home Thursday morning. With the economy the way it is and construction and excavation jobs still slow, both Randle and I felt that I was offered this job of a reason. I tried it last week and this week to see how it would go. Needless to say, I took the job. I will be getting better pay, steady and guaranteed hours, plus the benefits of vacation pay and insurance. Randle and I feel much better about me taking the job especially for the insurance. If for some reason Randle was to loose his job we would loose our insurance. Jesse and Randle are doing great while I am gone during the week. I talk to Jesse everynight before bed and during the day after I wake up. He loves for me to tell him stories about skunks and tigers. It is usually Uncle Jason who is in the stories and the one who gets sprayed by the skunk.
Our garden is coming along great. Our corn is just about ready to be picked and the tomatoes are starting to go red. We have enjoyed our Zuchinni's and we have cantalopen and watermelon that should also be ready to eat soon.
We had a great trip to Logan last weekend, where my cousin Nate and his new wife Mindy were married. It was up Logan Canyon at a beautiful camp ground.
We have taken Jesse to the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days festivities as well as some of the Santaquin Onion Days festivities.
We are also in the process of rocking the wall in our front room so that we can get our wood burning stove in before this Winter. It has been a large project since we dont know what we're doing.

I hope everyone has enjoyed there summer too! Hopefully we will have a couple more months of nice warm weather. I am not ready to take the pool down yet.

Update on our family!!

Well, I have great news to share. I finally finished school. I will be getting my diploma soon with the degree called Medical Laboratory Technition. I am super excited to let you all know this. I have worked on this for the last 4 years and am glad to be done.
Jesse has been great! He has enjoyed helping us get our garden ready and helping me get things set up for GG's 80th birthday party. We have just about everything set up to go for it, now just the final touch's that can't be done until the special day. And Virginia is super excited too! She even has some relatives coming from Kansas!
I have been working more in Evanston, which has helped out families income out a lot. They offered me a position working weekends, which I took. This month I am doing a lot of training and working extra hours to be able to run the lab with just me and a phlebotomist. I have been concentrating more in Microbiology ready the culture plates and I am getting much more confident in myself as I do it. It was alot to learn and bugs are always changing.
One week while Jesse and I were up in Wyoming, he came to work to visit me. I let him swab his hands and then we incubated it over night. Needless to say he now does not argue with me when I tell him to wash his hands. They were nasty! He thought it was a cool experiment. I think I will have to do that with my four neices so they can see. I know that Addison would love it!
Randle is still working with the excavation company and we are thankful that he has a job. He still is enjoying it, and we just hope it picks up over the summer.
I hope all is well with everyone. Hopefully I will post more often now that school is over.

Disneyland 2009

I just wanted to share some of the photos that I took during our two days at Disneyland. We all had a blast except for the way busy day on Sunday! It was super crowded. Jesse got to see Goofy on Sunday, which was the best part. We finally found him after a day and a half of looking. It made Jesse's day! He loved Minnie and Mickey and Pluto too! The only bad part was that Jesse started getting a fever early Sunday morning, but as long as we kept the Motrin in him he was fine. He was able to enjoy himself and so did we. Next time we go back, he will be at least 45 inches or taller, that way he can ride all the rides.
We are so thankful that we were able to see all Randle's family in the area. Lee and Jeannie, Erik and Nikkie, David and Rita, Mark, Cristina and baby Bela, Margie and Jerry and Lesley and John. It was so much fun, the weather was great and I can't wait to go see them again!

Jesse's Party!!

We had a little party for Jesse on Saturday the 7th of March with all his little cousins. He had so much fun! This year was a lot funner than last year in the sense that he was so excited to see his cousins and open his presents. He got a lot of money this year, he was telling people that is what he wanted, but he called it his "Shamu Money". I will post pics of our California trip and you can see how much fun he had.

Hard Times but Good Times...

Well this year had been kind of rough, but yet still has had it wonderful moments. My hard times have been turning 28. I dredded turning 24 and now just 28! I keep thinking, if I feel this way at 28, how will I feel at 68? I hope at 68 I am dancing Salsa and am active as ever! I have alot to be thankful for. Randle and I both still have jobs, which so many are out of these days. The hospital in Evanston where I work has cut everyones hours becuase of the slow time of year, no body wants to meet their copays again! I know I dont! I can still go up everyweek and work, they have just limited me to 16 hours a week, which I am lucky is better than ZERO! So in order to save money and watch more of what we spend, I have been making homemade bread every other week, so if any of you home make anything else that could help save money, please share!!
Last week Jesse was sick, with what seemed like food poisoning. This week I have been sick. Of course I got sick over the weekend and didnt want to go to the ER, (dredded copay) so waited to call the Dr. on Monday. I had the nasty respiratory bronchiolitis, sorethroat and could not breathe. Jesse was so sweet, he laid with me on one side and Lilie on the other side with three quilts on top of me. They were both trying to keep (or should I say GET) me warm. Everytime I would cough he would kiss me on the head and ask me if I was alright. He treated me like I treat him when he is sick. He was so gentle and kind. Now that I am feeling much better, minus the cough that everyone stays with you for weeks, we are getting ready for Jesse's b-day party this Saturday. I didnt mail out invites, because, well, I didnt fell good. So I am just letting everyone know you are welcome to come over for cake and ice cream. We are just keeping it to that because we have saved to take Jesse to SeaWorld and Disneyland for his birthday. We fly out the 12th of March to Orange County. We will then drive to San Diego and stay with Randle's cousin Lesley. On the 13th ( Jesse's b-day) we are spending it at SeaWorld. I have got on there webiste and shown Jesse the dolphins and shamu. My mom printed a pic out of Shamu so that he knew about him. We will then spend the 14th, 15th, and 16th with Lee and Jeannie, Randle's aunt and uncle in Covina and do Disneyland the 14th and 15th. I am hoping that we can take Jesse to the Ocean before we come home. I think he will love it. I will post pics when we get back. We are all so excited, except Randle, he hates Disneyland. I think otherwise this year, I think he will have more fun with Jesse this time.

I hope that you are all well and doing great! Here are some pics that I took for fun of Jesse yesterday...Enjoy! He also loves having pics taken with Lilie!

....Long time....

Well since it has been awhile since I have posted I thought that I would give you an update. I have still been driving to Evanston everyweek and it is going well. Jesse got to stay with Randle last week while I was up there for three days. They did great together. Jesse only asked for me a handful of times, other than that he didnt mind that I was gone for so long. Here are some photos that I took the other day of Jesse and Lilie. They were having so much fun playing together and Jesse was letting her give him kisses. It got funnier when Lilie would try and tackle Jesse. BTW, he calls her his "Big Sister!" I think it is cute.

Another update...We are taking Jesse to Disneyland and SeaWorld in California on March 12th. His 3rd Birthday is the 13th of March, so we will spend that day at SeaWorld. We are so excited. We have not been on a family vacation in I dont know how long...Well that is if you dont count our trip to Reno to see Grandpa John. We are flying there, the 9 hour drive to Reno was enough, I would rather fly next time.

Our power went out last Saturday night and we were finally able to get it back on on Wednesday this last week. We only had power in certain rooms, which was really weird. Come to find out, it was due to a cable or power supply of some sort underneith the house. Jesse was happy to have power back on in his bathroom.
I hope that everyone is doing well. Enjoy the photos.

little beauties...

Well, my sister-in-law Kim came over the other day to get some Mary Kay supplies and she brought the girls, Camryn & Cheyanne. They were so excited to play with Jesse. When they seen us looking at Makeup the girls wanted me to make them up. So here are some photos after I got done putting makeup on them. Jesse wanted to put some on too, so I let him put on the clear lip gloss. I thought that was safer for when Randle came home.
