The workin man!

Last week Randle was running late coming home from work. I had to be to work by 8pm. Since Randle was running about an hour and a half late, I had no choice but to take Jesse to work with me. He does love coming to work with me. I had to post this picture that I took of him. Because I work in a Laboratory and we play with blood, urine and feces, you always want to wear gloves and your lab coat. I will say that I do wipe down the counter tops multiple times during my shift, but you never know what is roaming around. It is a clean lab, no matter what you think. Not much was going on at work when we arrived. My friend Denise was working and I was her replacement. Nothing really came in for me to do the first little while, so I turned on my laptop so Jesse could play PBSkids.org. My friend Emily, and ER nurse brought me over a strep screen to do. These were Jesse's words:
Jesse: "Emily did you bring me work to do?"
Emily: "Yes I did. Are you helping mom tonight?"
Jesse: "Yes, and I have been waiting for work so I can help her."
Emily: "Well here you go."

I then told Jesse that if he truly wanted to help me, then he needed to wear a lab coat and gloves. Of course I don't have a lab coat xxx-small, so he wore my XL coat. I bunched the back of it up and tied it with a rubber band then found X-small gloves for him to wear. He looked so cute and he was so helpful to do things. He helped me rotate my blood samples for the day, watched me run the strep test. He looked at some CBC differential slides, asking questions of what the red ones were (red blood cells) and what the purple ones were (white blood cells). He then said, "Take my picture, I look like a doctor, like Grandma Jan. Send her a picture of me." So we did, along with a few other people. When Randle arrived at 9:30 pm to get him, Jesse answered the door to let him in and Randle said, "boy you really are helping mom aren't you?" Jesse: "Well ya, that's why she brought me, to help her!"
I just had to laugh. He wanted to stay all night with me but I told him he couldn't and had to go keep daddy company at the townhouse.

He is way too funny! Good thing having him at work turned out to be a pleasant experience!

No Kidding! I think he did well because I have brought him before and he's very familiar with it. Not to mention more than half the ER nurses he loves. I am just glad I wasn't SUPER busy. Since he is not old enough to stay in my brake room alone, I swear I think he is a mini Dennis The Menis, loves to push any button he sees.
